Jimmy Stewart Airport Festival

Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14

Jimmy Stewart Airport Festival is a two day event held every year in the spring.  This year, the Airport  Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, 2015.  This event includes displays of vintage and military aircraft, airplane rides, food booths, and many other activities that people of all ages can enjoy.  Admission is free and parking is available at the airport, also for free.

* June 14 - 15, 2014 main attractions were American Airpower Museum Republic P-47D "Tunderbolt" and Goodfold & O'Tymes Travel Air D4000






* June 15 - 16, 2013 main attractions were Warriors & Warbirds C-46 Commando "Tinker Belle" and History Flight B-25H Mitchell "Barbiel III!






* June 9 - 10, 2012 main attractions were The Commemorative Air Force SB2C Helldiver, and the WASP PT-17 Stearman!





    * June 11 - 12, 2011 main attractions were The B-25 "Panchito", The L-5 "Cricket", The C-123 "Thunder Pig", The White New Standard D-25, and the PT-17 WASP Stearman!

*June 12 - 13, 2010 main attractions were the "Spirit of Freedom" a Douglas C-54E from Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation and a Curtiss-Wright P40 Warhawk from American Airpower Museum.






*June 13 - 14, 2009 main attractions were the P51 Mustang from Warbirds Over Long Island, the F4U Corsair from American Airpower Museum, and the Spitfire from Russell Aviation Group.






*June 14 - 15, 2008 main attractions were the Douglas C47 Skytrain (a.k.a. DC3 & Dakota) - 1940 and the Grumman TBM Avenger - 1942 from the American Airpower Museum.

*Aug. 18-19, 2007;  the main attractions were the P-40 Warhawk and the P-51 Mustang from Warbirds Over Long Island (see their site for more photos).  We also had parachute jumps with The Army Special Forces Green Beretís.
