Jimmy Stewart Airport Festival

Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13

Jimmy Stewart Airport Festival is a two day event held every year in the spring.  This year, the Airport  Festival was held on Saturday and Sunday, June 12 and 13, 2010.  This event included displays of vintage and military aircraft, airplane rides, food booths, and many other activities that people of all ages can enjoy.  Admission is free and parking is available at the airport, also for free.

Enjoy a day at the Airport and at the Jimmy Stewart Museum!  June 12 and June 13

 

 

*This year the main attractions are the "Spirit of Freedom" a Douglas C-54E from Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation and a Curtiss-Wright P40 Warhawk from American Airpower Museum.

*June 13 - 14, 2009 main attractions were the P51 Mustang from Warbirds Over Long Island, the F4U Corsair from American Airpower Museum, and the Spitfire from Russell Aviation Group.

*June 14 - 15, 2008 main attractions were the Douglas C47 Skytrain (a.k.a. DC3 & Dakota) - 1940 and the Grumman TBM Avenger - 1942 from the American Airpower Museum.

*Aug. 18-19, 2007;  the main attractions were the P-40 Warhawk and the P-51 Mustang from Warbirds Over Long Island (see their site for more photos).  We also had parachute jumps with The Army Special Forces Green Beret’s.
